Conomo is a two-channel non-fiction media installation that presents a diverse portrait of the ancient art of clamming in the Great Marsh of Massachusetts during a time of rapid ecological change.
Conomo incorporates vivid landscapes and microscopic soundscapes, underscored by interviews with Ipswich, Massachusetts clammers, environmentalists, seafood restaurateurs and a New England anthropologist.
Foregrounding the viewer’s relationship with nature, Conomo provides a gateway to important conversations about conservation and climate action.
