Conomo is a meditation on human connection to the landscape as inhabitants of the Great Marsh relate to the softshell clam (Mya arenaria).

Conomo incorporates vivid landscapes and microscopic soundscapes, underscored by interviews with Ipswich, Massachusetts clammers, environmentalists, seafood restaurateurs and a regional anthropologist.

 

Conomo exists as a single channel cinematic documentary experience and also as a two channel installation.
